The first incident took place around 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31 when Bridgeport Police responded to St. Vincent’s Medical Center on a report of a stab wound victim that entered their emergency room, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
The victim had been stabbed in the back and was in serious condition.
Detectives were on-scene and the suspect was not cooperative as to the location of where the stabbing, Appleby said.
An investigation is ongoing.
The second incident took place around 3:29 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, when Bridgeport Police again responded to St. Vincent’s Medical Center regarding a person that had shown up in a private vehicle with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg, Appleby said.
Detectives said the suspect was not cooperating with officers.
Appleby said police also responded to numerous ShotSpotter activations throughout the early morning hours.
